The City may have the opportunity to purchase up to 3 acres of the Oppenlander property at 1275 Rosemont Road to create a new neighborhood park—and Council wants to hear from you!

Would you value having open green space, a playground, sports fields, walking paths, a dog park, or simply a peaceful spot to relax close to home? Since the available space would be less than one-third of the full property, we’ll need to make thoughtful choices about what to include if the City proceeds with the purchase.

Your input will help guide the City Council as they consider moving forward with a potential 2026 bond measure to purchase and develop the park. Please take a few minutes to complete our first survey and share what matters most to you and your family.

Please note: While voters approved a bond measure in 2022 to acquire the full 10-acre site, that purchase did not move forward, and the bond was never issued—meaning no taxes were collected. A new bond measure would be required to move ahead with acquiring and developing a smaller portion of the site.
