Early Work Package Site Work Beginning June 22nd 2026

On Monday June 22^nd, crews will begin work to create access to the Salamo Road site. Council approved an early work package for the Operations Complex project that is limited to site preparation work, utilities, and other related activities not requiring land use approval. The early work package provides significant cost savings by doing this site preparation work during the dry season this summer. The City’s contractor will set up temporary traffic control, erosion control, and surveying. This preliminary site preparation work has received all needed permits, including from DEQ and a site development permit through City engineering.

During this phase, residents may notice construction vehicles staging within the uphill merge lane on Salamo Road. There is not expected to be any construction parking in neighborhoods and the traffic lanes on Salamo Road will not be impacted. Following the initial mobilization phase, all project parking will be contained onsite.
